Apparently, I’m following the Jen Sincero Books in Order, because I’m back with a review on the next one about making money. (I skipped her first 2 books and started with her 2013 publication.) Today, we will be discussing…
You are a BadA at Making Money
This book, like the previous one in the series, focuses a lot on mindset. A lot of people have mental and emotional blocks when it comes to money. Jen Sincero gives writing exercises, mantras, and funny stories sprinkled with curse words for good measure. (Use headphones if you plan to listen to this one near children.) She also gives case studies of other people overcoming their money challenges.
Universal Intelligence
Jen touches briefly on Universal Intelligence and the power of thoughts. The basic idea being that you attract the things vibrating at the same frequency as you. Your words, thoughts, and beliefs create your reality.
Limiting Subconscious Beliefs
Take an action way beyond your comfort zone that will take you a giant step closer to your goals. This will stir up limiting subconscious beliefs. Then, you can feel/acknowledge them and make a conscious choice to choose a new narrative that serves you better to believe.
Pay attention to your thoughts and words. If you find yourself using language that limits your potential, that might be a hint about your limiting beliefs. Slow down and course correct what you say to combat limiting beliefs.
Gratitude
This is a topic that is threaded through this book as well as the previous one. Jen is a big advocate of gratitude! She loves showing gratitude for things that haven’t even arrived in her life yet. (But she trusts that the Universe has them traveling her way.) Gratitude raises your frequency and helps you align with the things you desire.
Meditation
Sit comfortably and focus on your breathing. When you get distracted, gently redirect your thoughts back to your breathing.
Clarity
Get really clear on why you want to make more money. What value is the money you desire going to bring to your life? Get clear and specific on WHY you want the money and what you will do with it. What would that money mean to your life? Emotions will drive action, so get excited.
Choice (Decide!)
“Decide” means to cut off. You have to commit to your choice. Otherwise, you won’t follow through when things get uncomfortable.
Surroundings
Surround yourself with people who have the money mindset/income goals you want. Put yourself where you want your future to be. Everything in your physical environment affects your mindset.
You are a BadA at Making Money
If you enjoyed Jen Sincero’s first self-help book, following the next book in the series would be helpful. Especially if you have money block issues. (Which many people do!) If you don’t mind some cursing, I recommend you check out You Are a BadA at Making Money.
